Metron Vs. The Watcher
I was interested at first when I heard that Uatu the Watcher would be at the center of Marvel's latest event, Original Sin, as I have always thought he was a cool concept and character. Sadly, it turns out that the story revolves around his murder and mutilation... so not really my cup of tea after all. I wish the big 2 publishers could find more interesting things to do with my favorite characters than to kill them off!

Ha! All-out action in a "Staring Contest"! Ha!
It's a shame that this is just another Mega Event that will "change everything" (for a week), shaking up the status quo (for now).
Give me an old-fashioned team-up book to a line-wide, house-cleaning Mega Crossover Event any day.
Wouldn't this be an "all-out inaction issue"?
That's kinda the joke...
Yeah, I got it. I guess my response kind of fell flat. Oh well -- they can't all be winners. :)
@AirDave: I was at a convention panel in the early '90s, when someone asked why the publishers do so many of these mega-crossover events. I believe it was Bob Rozakis who answered, simply, "Because you keep buying them! If they didn't make money, we wouldn't do them!"
All-out action issue.
HAHAHHAHAHHAA
For once, I don't think, "Wow, that looks great! I'd buy that issue!"
I empathize with your frustration, Ross. Unfortunately, such mega conspiracies are the only game in town. What with Dave Ryan having apparently pulled a Straczynski with "War of the Independents."
