The Spectre and The Avengers

One of the coolest things about the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron is that we will get to see Cap's Kooky Quartet in action.  Set photos have indeed confirmed that there will be at least one scene with these four fighting side-by-side.  But will anybody actually call them by the nickname Stan Lee provided so many years ago? My hunch is yes, and Tony Stark is my guess to utter the term.

The upcoming Constantine series is said to include a police officer by the name of Jim Corrigan!  Is this just a tease, or will we eventually see the Spectre appear on TV?  I hope so, because I've always felt that the ghost of vengeance has great potential in live action.

Cap's Kooky Quartet was my first Avengers: from that '60's Captain America cartoon("When Captain America throws his mighty shield/All those who oppose his mighty shield must yield!"); and my first Avengers comic was #150, which was so weird in that it was an anniversary issue with a reprint/flashback built in around Perez art! Ah, good times, good times...

It will be cool to finally have these 4 together in something outside the comics since the '66 cartoons. They are four of my favorite avengers.

Speaking of Cap though I noticed that you pair Stargirl up with him a few times, ever consider pairing her up with say American Dream from MC2 or Patriot of the Young Avengers?

Considering what Hollywood did to the movie version of John Henry Irons, aka Steel (which I just saw a recent re-run of), I would not be surprised if they made this Jim Corrigan the African-American police officer who was Jimmy Olsen's chief contact with Metropolis P.D. in his 1970's comic book!

Didn't Gerry Conway come up with the nickname Cap's Kooky Quartet in the issue before he revived Wonder Man?

I can it see now: Shatner's Kirk asking to plant a lip-lock on Dr. Zira. And, Zira calling him "d**n ugly."
