Darkseid Vs. Thanos
One of the frustrating things about DC dragging their feet in getting their characters up on the big screen is that they look like copycats even when their concepts may have come first. A JLA fim is being planned, but there will have been two Avengers movies by the time it hits theaters. The Flash is sure to be included, but Quicksilver will already have had his moment to shine. DC waited too long to feature Brainiac in a Superman movie, and when they ultimately do, he may come off as an Ultron rip off, since that robotic Despot received a starring role first. Then of course there is Darkseid, DC's big villain.... who is going to look pretty similar to Thanos of the Marvel movies. C'mon, DC - it doesn't matter if you have great characters if you keep getting beaten to the punch!

That is one cool cover! One of your best!

Very cool cover!
If it were me I would adapt Dini and Ross' JLA: Liberty and Justice. It may be a little Andromeda Strain, but compared to The Avengers it is pretty original. Even better - every one of the League gets to shine.
"One of the frustrating things about DC dragging their feet in getting their characters up on the big screen is that they look like copycats even when their concepts may have come first." Truer words have never been spoken. It reminds me of all the reviewers calling JOHN CARTER "derivative" of STR WARS. Imperfect and flawed as it was, it was NOT "derivative."
By the same token though, it doesn't matter if they have great characters and get them to screen if they aren't any good. For instance, I finally caught up with all of the Fast & Furious movies, only to discover Gal Godot is the very worst actress with a speaking role of all six not-exactly-Oscar-worthy films. Sometimes nothing is better than something stinky, but so far, it looks like we'll be getting both bad DC movies and late to the party DC movies, the worst of both worlds.
I would have scoffed at the idea of people claiming that Flash was a knockoff of Quicksilver, but then I remembered how some blogger not too long ago decried Lord of the Rings as being derivative of Harry Potter. So, go fig.
I do agree with Doug completely, though. This is one of your best to date. It'd be just the thing to be happening as Access melds them into Thanoseid!
