The Metal Men and Red Sonja

This is another example of a cover where I feature a team up that I would never have thought of, but when I saw how well the images fit together I couldn't resist.  And it really isn't all that far-fetched when you think about it.  The Metal Men had an anything-goes attitude in their original series, and and appearance by a time-lost warrior woman wouldn't have seemed out of place with all the craziness that was going on.

Definitely a Bob Haney-type tale!

a) Absolutely right, those old MM tales were so crazygonuts this would have fit in fine and b) before i scrolled all the way down to the image, I imagined I would somehow see Tin as the chainmail bikini!

This would've fit perfectly in that wacky world DC so lovingly crafted back then. And now, lives only in our memories.

This is the kind of "whimsy" that makes great comics! The kind of, No, there's no way THAT could ever happen - but it does!! And it's brilliant!

Hmmmm! I wonder if this would Red Sonja's essence channeled into Natasha Romanoff's body as part of some collaboration between Ultron and Kulan Gath?
