This one would be like one of those hidden gem Golden Age tales that I discovered as a back up tale in a 100-Page Giant or Annual back in the day. It was cool as a young reader to get a peek at comics from an earlier era.

Love the half helmet look on the Dr.
I agree with you, Ross. Although, I was half-expecting a Cap-related cover, yesterday. Perhaps even protecting that Teenage Prez from assassination!
I wonder if that mysterious someone could be Isbisa (assuming that this particular Cap is Jeff Mace from the post-WWII All-Winners' Squad)?
Captain America with his original shield, but Doctor Fate with his second helmet? That's definitely an interesting choice for this combination!
Blue & Gold team started here with Cap & the Dr. What other distractions will be encountered? Read the All Star Winners!! Det_Tobor
This red tape is not helping. At least this coincides with a new Cap movie.
I am surprised that Ross didn't have the Golden age Superman's s shield based on this shield from Cap. They kinda go together.
So could the eponymous logo of the original Shield from MLJ (Golden Age Arcnie) Comics.
Lol! I take it you meant to say "...Golden Age Archie Comics..."?
