Sure, it was cool back in the day when Karate Kid was sent back from the 30th Century to our time for a series of adventures - but I wished that other members of the Legion of Super-Heroes had been able to do the same. Wildfire would have been at the top of my list, I just thought that he was so cool.

I certainly would've enjoyed Wildfire meeting up with Simon Williams.
An ionically-enhanced Wonder Man meeting a sentient suit of anti-energy? That would've been a powerful story, indeed. :-)
Nova in the future, tense? Not an usual situation. Drake in current time? He has problems in the future...present day?...That would be like early Bruce Banner without Rick Jones to help. (not counting uniform repairs.)
Did you catch the 4-issue COSMIC BOY mini done in 1986? He and Night Girl find themselves in a past that's unrecognizable to them, which just happens to be our current (messed-up) history as we know it...
Cary, Wildfire and Wonder Man have met on the blog: https://braveandboldlost.blogspot.com/2024/03/wildfire-and-wonder-man.html
James, yes I picked that mini series up back in the day.
I definitely agree that Wildfire was always one of the coolest Legionnaires, and it would've been great to see him have a solo adventure or two in the twentieth/early 21st century! And of course, you know I must... LONG LIVE THE LEGION!!!!!
Wildfire was part of Legion Lost featuring a group of Legionnaires trapped in the present (21st Century).
That's right, I only caught a few issues of that, but remember enjoying them.
2 of my favorite characters. I do wonder however if Nova (being a member of the Nova Corp) would be banned from Earth in the 30th Century. Reason being the Nova Corp was created to be a spce force like the Green Lantern Corp and in the time of the Legion the Green Lanterns are banned from Earth.
I'd like to see Nova's buddy Powerhouse battle Duplicate Boy.
He also had a friend named Comet who could team up with Comet Queen (or even Comet The Super-Horse).
Nova could return & team up with the similar powered Sun Boy (flight & power blasts) or maybe battle him under Universo's control.
Heh! I completely forgot about that one. The Timeskipper's destruction, as a result of their eventual escape, must've erased that whole story from my memory.
;-)
Sun Boy might be able to generate solar-power blasts, naturally. But, his flying power is still non-existent without the LSH-issued flight ring.
I'm one of the very, very few who thought Drake Burroughs was cooler as ERG-1. I can't hear the name Wildfire without remembering Michael Martin Murphy singing about a lost horse.
