The Nuclear Option

I've been meaning to put together a nuclear-powered team for a while now, and I'm finally getting around to it.  This cover is dedicated to The Irredeemable Shagg Matthews, Master Podcaster and the biggest Firestorm fan in the world. I was definitely thinking back to my appearance on the Fire And Water Network's Firestorm Fan podcast a few years back as I made this.

I'm sure he'll get a Big Bang out of it, Ross. ;-)

I know I did. Well done!

Based on the title I'm guessing time travel is involved. Maybe Wildfire would be part of the picture.

Maybe they can go up against The Nuclear Family from Batman and the Outsiders.

Atomic Thunderbolt?! Whew! You really did your homework. My first thought was that the Radioactive Man from Springfield had gotten himself a pink genie sidekick (a la Johnny Thunder). But, just to be sure, I jumped over to Comic Vine. And what do you know? I found mention of a one-shot Golden Ager who's only seen the light of modern day in reprints! Keep up the good work, Ross.

The Golden Age superheroine or the 31st century Legionaire? Because, if you're looking for a team of supers composed of containment suit wearers, Roy "The Human Bomb" Lincoln would also be tailor-made for such a line-up.

@Anon617: I think it's safe to assume he meant the LSH member.

P.S.--- "...containment suit...tailor-made..."? Boo! Hiss! Groan!

Where's the iconic multifaceted supervillain from the runaway blockbuster smash of 1987 Superman IV???

INCOMPLETE!

I would rather have seen the Radioactive Man of Springfield as a team member.

I'd rather have Firehawk as a member on their debut cover to increase the much needed female population on STF teams & I'd think Shaggy would've enjoyed another Firestorm character on it too. DC's Atomic Knight (from the 80s) would've given this team a wider power set then some of these guys. Great group name by the way.
