I... Vampire and Werewolf By Night

I enjoyed the Disney+ Werewolf by Night special and was hoping that I would hear of another upcoming appearance by Jack Russell (and his buddy Man-Thing) in the MCU by now, but nothing has been announced.  With all of the trouble getting a new Blade movie up and running, I guess I am not too surprised.  Maybe a good way would be to bring all the Marvel supernatural heroes together for one big epic.  I wouldn't mind seeing the three of them team up with Brother Voodoo and Ghost Rider to deal with the possessed Doctor Strange.

If the heroes can go after Dark Phoenix, then Shirley the Supernatural club could go after Mephisto? You could even do more than one movie of it.

To be deleted by Ross... One take too many?

Perhaps even... some sort of Legion of Monsters?

I would suggest to the writers employed by Marvel Films that they try to incorporate Dane "the Black Knight" Whitman into that Blade sequel. Perhaps by using that old literary vampire Varney.* Somehow brought back from volcanic self-immolation by a cursed artifact from Pompeii.

*Inspiration for the slightly misspelled Gigantopithecus of the same name.

Legion of Monsters sounds too much like Creature Commandos, and they will be animated on MAX later this year I believe.

There are rumors that Jack and Ted, along with Dane, will be a part of the third Doctor Strange film. I'm skeptical, given how far away that movie's production is on the schedule, but I'd welcome the Midnight Sons (including Blade) as the focus of that film -- though, honestly, I'd prefer going with a comics Defenders lineup (Valkyrie, Hulk, Silver Surfer,* and possibly Namor).

*Upon learning that the MCU's Silver Surfer will be played by Julia Garner, I was initially skeptical, though I soon decided to take the "wait and see" position whenever I hear of an seemingly odd casting decision. Sure enough, the next day I learned about Shalla-Bal's history as co-Surfer with Norrin, and my mind was set at ease: this is simply the Shalla-Bal version. So, I'm perfectly fine with the casting; in fact, I think she has the perfect look for it. Plus, Norrin Radd may or may not still be out there (and he may or may not be played by Laurence Fishburne).

Actually, my namesake @ 11AM, the Legion of Monsters debuted in Marvel Premiere #28 (Nov. 1975). Creature Commandos didn't come along, in DC's Weird War Tales, until five years later. So, technically, the latter are copycats of the former!

Great cover, great idea, but... Yeah... I'm really having trouble ignoring that "double take" on the left side.

@Bob When I saw that announcement about Silver Surfer, I honestly thought it had to be an April Fool's joke. Is it for real? I didn't even know Shalla Bal had ever been the (or a) Silver Surfer, even though I consider myself a fan of the classic version. Guess it's time to do some Googling...

First of I've heard of a Silver Surfing Shalla Bal. Was that used in a "WHAT IF...?" issue or a "WHAT THE...?" issue?

@Anon@10:30: This, apparently, was in Marvel's Earth-X miniseries.

@Bob @ Anon1030: I only read the first issue of that series. It left me instantly disinterested.

Hugh Jackman: "What kind of car did you rent, Mina?"

Peta Wilson: "I actually rented a van, Helsing."

@Anon1148: I sometimes "Marvel" that Ross has never done a photo-capture of those two for a "Van Helsing/LOEG" team-up.
