Here's another pairing that I am surprised to just be getting to. Now that I see them side by side they got together very well visually. It's not hard to come up with stories that would involve both of them, either.

Nice, but Widow isn't that far from Canary and Jeff has worked with the League. Has the Owl ever worked with the Penguin? New evil team: The Predators...hook, line & stinkers!
If DC & Marvel did share one Earth, would the heroes move around between groups a lot and would some try to make themselves more distinctive?
Cool, but I'm a little confused. The wording makes it seem like the villain is supposed to be Owlman, from Earth-3, but... well, he looks a lot more like Wolverine, especially with that hair!
@Ben W: Leland Owlsley debuted as Daredevils' arch-enemy in August, 1964. A good ten years and two months prior to the publication debut of Wolverine (as perhaps the only mutant capable of killing the child-like Hulk)! So, if anything, Logan is the coiffure copycat. Not vice-versa.
@Ben W, the villain is called The Owl, Owlman is different.
@Ben W: Tobor's right. The only other similarity between the Owl and DC's Owlman is that the latter debuted around the same time in JLA (v.1) #28.
@Anon1255: there was another Owlman before him, though. The one that appeared in BATMAN (v.1) #107 in 1957. Admittedly, however, that version was Dick Grayson! Briefly age-accelerated to adulthood by some kind of extra-terrestrial gas that leaked out of a box the Silver Age Superman found floating around in space (and temporarily left with the Dynamic Duo for safe-keeping).
And here I thought this had something to do with the Court of Owls.
I think we may need an Owl Special for #4500, with Harry Potter and Tim Hunter helping Doctor Mid-Nite and Nite Owl deal with Owlman, the Owl, and the Court of Owls.
I, for one, think that would be a real hoot! :-)
