It was only a matter of time before Adam Strange joined The Defenders for an adventure. After all, he is the brother of Stephen, The Master of Mystic Arts - in fact, this marks the seventh appearance of The Strange Brothers on the blog.

Wow. A great choice of heroes and the cover is stunning. You always do a nice job!
I remember this cover! A early Defenders Annual that (sort of re) introduced Dr. Doom's Prime Mover! A chess-playing robot designed and programmed to use humans as pawns.
Makes me wonder how the Grandmaster would do against Mordru?
P.S.---this being Groundhog's Day, I was initially tempted to ask if anyone knew if the Shadow had ever met the Punisher. But, they did. Way back in STF #246 (almost twelve years ago)!
Too bad. I was looking forward to seeing Horsefeathers, Tobor, and Bob Greenwade striving to out-pun each other with the "Shadow knows" jokes. At times, they make me look like a rank amateur!*
*That's meant as high praise, gentlemen. :-)
@Cary: If you want those kinds of puns from me, we'd have to pair up the Shadow with Pinocchio.
In the immortal words of Homer Simpson: "D'OHHH!"

@Cary, You sir, have NEVER been ranked!
@Ross, @Cary, What would it be like if Grandmaster went against Kang or the Time Trapper? They would reshuffle the board after each move Grandmaster made.
Having the brothers in all blue or all red makes me wonder about their personalities..
does the style of clothes really reflect the person?
Phil's lament, Cranston engaged in Shadow Mischief.
Recent news of Hayden Christiensen voicing Shadow in the upcoming Sonic movie made me think that said character could be paired with Mr. Cranston.
@the BG, we need a place called The Smiles THEN,SIR you could have The Shadows of Your Smiles.
The Grandmaster's already gotten the best of Kang, in the mainstream Marvel Comics, at least twice in the last sixty years. That and Ross' preference for balancing Marvel and DC characters would probably make the Time Trapper more ideal for STF.
@Carycomic: wasn't this also the same issue that introduced the Avengers/GOTG foe known as Korvac?
@Anon1052: yes. :-)
