I doubt I would ever read any Nemesis growing up if he wasn't the star of the back up feature in my favorite comic - The Brave and the Bold. I'm glad I did though, It's a crackling spy adventure featuring a master of disguise, deftly illustrated by Dan Spiegel. I've always wanted to see those back-ups collected into a TPB, but I don't know if the demand will ever be there for such a project.

The only thing that might successfully tempt Nemesis into working for SHIELD is the public un-tarnishing of his older brother's name. As I recall, that was the backstory for his one-man war against some ruling underworld quintet known as the Council. The abduction and brainwashing of one Special Agent Tresser into a traitorous assassin!
P.S.---I hope this doesn't get even fewer comments than STF #4245!
Ross, I felt the same way as you about Nemesis. I only followed it because it was in the comic, but was blown away by the work of Spiegel and writer Cary Burkett. Later, Burkett wrote a four-issue arc of Archie's Mighty Crusaders that remains the highwater mark of that team to this day. I also hold that high regard for Dan Spiegel for his work with Mark Evanier on the Blackhawks. These are all fantastic creators who are vastly underrated.
Considering current push for "no media" electronic comics, books and film I can not see why not a "Trade Paperback" could not be created.
Nemesis teamed up with Nick Fury before (Twenty of Earth's greatest heroes have been replaced) and I thought that would have made a good cover mini-series.
Last i recall of Nemesis, DC was trying to pair him with Wonder Woman as a potential sperm supplier for her wanting to reproduce. He finally found the truth and wasn't all that happy about it, even though she thought very highly of him.
He could have replaced Dick in Grayson for the spy work of the series. He probably would fit in better at Marvel if Waller wasn't going to try to control him in DC adventures.
@Carycomic: looks like you lose your bet.
@Anon1157: I didn't make a bet. I expressed a hope. And it looks like that hope was realized! :-)
Well, then, let me express my own hope that--someday--we'll get to see this version of BW teamed up with Golden Age aviatrixes Black Angel and Black Venus in a story entitled... "Skin-Tight Situation!"
;-D
