The Fantastic Four and Doctor Fate

We have finally seen some quick footage of Doctor Fate in the upcoming Back Adam, and he looks very cool.  My only point of curiosity is that the helmet did not seem to have any eyeholes in it in certain shots, I wonder what's up with that.  Pierce Brosnan looks great as Kent Nelson as well.  I'm hoping my theory of this being a one-off appearance for Brosnan, with him passing on the Fate mantle by the movie's end is not true, I'd love to see him continue the role beyond one film.

After having battled Puppet Master, Fate may find more resistance than expected by this group regarding responding to a summons. A video call would work wonders on their trust as well.
Cool cover.

I imagine that the villains in this story turn out to be... Salem's Seven!

What Alaric said! :-)

As for the lack of eyeholes? Probably the mystic equivalent of one-way glass.

P.S. @ Tobor: maybe it's not the real Dr. Fate. Maybe its a Space Phantom from Limbo! One of them once impersonated Xemnu the Titan. That super-psionic yeti from outer space that used to give the original Defenders such a run for their money.

The first thing that struck me about this cover is that if you'd given the billing in the reverse order it would've sounded like the name of a late 50s/early 60s rock group.

That aside, every aspect of this composition is excellent. Judging from the tags, this is an all-Byrne cover, and it looks like the man himself drew it like this from the get-go -- or drew the images with just such a thing as this in mind.

@Bob Greenwade: more like an Elton John album title.

Actually, Ken's quip would make for a good sequel cover! I remember a story arc with the original Defenders concerning a mystic gem called the Star of Capistan...and a group called the Cult of the Unliving Four.

Mr. Roskos? You're a genius! :-)

Dr. Fate meets the Defenders? I'm fantastically for that!
