The Crime Syndicate Vs. The Hulk

One of the reasons that I am looking forward to the Disney+ She-Hulk series is that we'll finally get some understanding as to what's happening with Bruce Banner.  In Avengers: Endgame, he was in Professor Hulk mode and seemed to have merged his physical and intellectual sides.  The next time we saw him was in the post credit scene for Shang-Chi, where he was in his Banner form again.  All I ask is that he's back as a rampaging Hulk by the time Ben Grimm is introduced to the MCU - a Thing/Hulk battle must happen!

Now here's a story where ANY thing could happen. Cover layout has already driven sales up on this issue. Great design, Ross.

YES! Thank you, Ross, for proving me right. :-)

The Hulk _was_ abducted from STF #3594 via mind-control. Namely; the telepathic hypnosis of the Crime Syndicate's Owlman! But, this raises the question: why?

Further hypothesis: they needed his raw power in order to counter the high technology of a crime-fighter who was familiar with all their strengths and weaknesses. That great science hero...Alexander Luthor!

Conclusion: he accomplished this by recruiting the aid of another super-telepath. Edgar "Dr. Psycho" Cizko!

This assumes, of course, that the Rossverse has its own version of Earth Three where superheroes-and-villains from one parallel Earth have morally inverse opposites. Which raises the question: is that an _unsafe_ assumption to make?

The only shots I recall seeing of Bruce in the She-Hulk trailers had him in Professor Hulk mode. The rumor I've heard was that something about the blood transfusion to Jennifer causes him to revert to regular human form. I suspect that he'll end up resetting to his binary, Jekyll-and-Hyde-inspired nature by the end, and I hope that I'm right about that; there are too many Hulk stories to tell within that frame, including the discovery of his having had Dissociative Identity Disorder from the start (a brilliant move from Mr. Bendis) and the introduction of some of his other personalities (Joe Fixit and Maestro among them).

@Cary: Are you referring to Alex Luthor Sr. or Jr.? I'd love to see Sr. appear on this blog, if only just once, perhaps teamed up with one of the many heroic versions of Doctor Octopus that the Exiles have encountered.

Alex, Senior, of course. :-)

Great to see the Crime Syndicate back. Although only Ultraman would really be much competition for Hulkie in full Hulk mode.
As for an MCU clash twixt Thing and Hulk, yes please.

Another great match-up. Nice job.

There are many people eager to see a Thing/Hulk battle, to say nothing of a Wolverine/Hulk battle. I think we can hold out good hope that those will happen before Mark Ruffalo quits the role (especially if he gets his wish for a Disney+ series).
