Spider-Man and Wildcat

I'm excited to see what new animation styles will be employed by Spider-Man:  Across the Spider-Verse, Part One.  The rumor is that Miles Morales will be visiting a bunch of different realities, each with it's own visual appearance.  After the amazing work done in the first film, I can only imagine what the animators have in store now that they have the wind of an Oscar win at their back.

Wildcat met the Peter Parker Spider-Man back in STF #2100...

It's great to see Miles make his STF debut! I've had an idea for a team-up involving him and one - or all three - of DC's newest Green Lanterns in my head for a while now and love it if you could make it a reality.

I've just looked back and realised that this isn't Miles' first appearance. Whoops!

Two of my favorite characters! Thank you!

I don't think this is a real comic because DC Comics wouldn't print Spider-Man and this version wasn't around when Comics were sixty cents. It must be fake.

Well, we do know that in addition to Miles, Gwen, and Peter B., we're getting Oscar Isaac's Miguel O'Hara (Spider-Man 2099), Issa Rae and Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman), and at least a cameo from Takuya Yamashiro (the Japanese Spider-Man). I'll miss Peni Parker (SP//dr) and Peter Porker (Spider-Ham), but hopefully they'll show up in Part Two; it'd be especially interesting to see Miles in the latter's universe.

A question for you folks: If Marvel were to draw on the Marvel Apes universe, do you think it'd be better to use Spider-Monkey in the animated or live-action multiverse tales?

@Ross: Looking at the Wikipedia page for Marvel Apes, I stumbled across something that made me wish that you were familiar with Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys. Gor-illa of the latter group might be interesting alongside Gro-Rilla of the former. Of course, I'm not sure you could even find an image of Gro-Rilla, but Gor (especially in his form as Gormongous) could also be appropriately paired with the Hulk.

I wonder if those hired musclemen might be working for Wildcat's lesser-known foe...the Yellow Wasp?

"Mr. Grant"?

Did Miles make a rookie mistake, or has the Wildcat of Earth-STF gone public with his double identity?

Maybe Spider-Miles just thinks Wildcat sounds like Ed Asner. ;-)

It truly is amazing that you have done this so well for so long that you can nonchalantly reference a previous appearance in cover #2100! As long as your hands don't give out and you keep giving us the goods, we'll keep reading.

Glad to hear it Chuck!
