Moon Knight and Rose & The Thorn in: "The Darkest Impulse!"

Rose is of course referring to when these two heroes first crossed paths way back in STF #268...

The trailer for the Disney+ Moon Knight series looked pretty cool.  I was surprised at the accent that Oscar Isaac was using in the role, but I guess that's a good way to distinguish between his different personalities.  The quick bits of action were pretty impressive, they did a great job of translating his outfit to live action.  I can't wait to see Werewolf by Night and what other supernatural elements or characters that may be introduced in the series.

Re: today's cover; maybe some of that Eclipso virus seeped into MK while he was curing the Elongated Man.

As for Mr. Isaac changing his tone of voice to symbolize MK's different personalities? That's the plot device that's worked for all other costumed crime-fighters, from Zorro to the World's Finest Duo. Meek-and-mild-sounding when pretending to be a timid pacifist.* Fearless-and-self-assured when calming down a panic-stricken crowd of innocent bystanders.

*And, let's face it, those two words are interchangeable from the p.o.v. of bullies.

Maybe MK can invite Rose to join The Lunatic Fringe... though it might also be interesting to have a group whose members all have Dissociative Identity Disorder. It could just be a membership shift in the LF, keeping Badger, MK, and Crazy Jane, and adding Legion, Thorn, the Hulk, and whoever else seems to fit. (Really, just Jane and Legion would make for an interesting, and possibly chilling, story.)

Or, go to the villainous side of DID: Bloody Mary and Two-Face for starters.

@Cary: Real people with DID change their voices with their personalities: pitch, tone, texture, cadence, accent, and nearly any other aspect of voice.

@Bob & Cary: split the difference, guys. Call it "Art imitating life since time immemorial."

@Mr. Greenwade: What if Kl'rt of the Skrull Empire (from the universe of Earth-929) had been given all the powers of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard? Would that technically make him "The Composite Super-Skrull?" And, if so, would the telepathy of Oracle have driven him crazy enough to join The Lunatic Fringe?

@Ross: an interesting pairing! Although, with a title like "Darkest Impulse," I was initially half-expecting Bart Allen to have become the new Black Flash.

@Anon@8:39: That's pretty much my take on it anyway.

@Cary: Well, why not? Switch the Guard for the LSH, and it's a story arc that Ross could explore here, possibly even matching him up with Iron Beetle (whose return here I still would be excited to see).
