Ms. Marvel and Green Lantern

Reports are that Ms. Marvel will have an alteration to her powers on her upcoming Disney+ show, as compared to the comic book version.  She is known for stretching abilities and "embiggening" her hands to make powerful fists in battle.  I don't know if Marvel thinks that looks to goofy or if the want to avoid having a stretchy hero before introducing Mr. Fantastic, but now those big fists will be realized through Green Lantern-type energy constructs.  It will be interesting to see if the comics eventually follow suit.

Yet another great team-up and a superb cover! Nice job!

Of course they'll follow suit, Ross. Comic books are now based on TV shows and movies (instead of the other way around).

@Anonymous: As the Joker might say to Annihilus...

"Why so negative?"

Great pairing today, Ross! :-)

Changer her powers might be to save on the special effects budget. Animating semi-transparent glowie hands is likely easier then marking out and filling in areas for big hands with skin texture. I like her comic book powers, but computer animation into live action likely doesn't.

The change you describe be a tough retcon to write into the comics, and I think there'd be too much of a pushback from readers. Most likely the change is being made to bring her power set more in line with the other two Marvels (Carol and Monica). It's also likely that the origin of her powers will be changed from being an Inhuman, unless Marvel plans on canonizing The Inhumans (which is unlikely, given how poorly received that show still is).

As for today's cover, I think it's great! Pairing these two fits perfectly with your text comments, and the title is clever. Are Ms. Marvel and Annihilus from the same original?

I was a little surprised that you used Hal here, though; I would've thought Kyle would be more of a match-up for Kamala. Still, I can see these two falling into a sort of semi-mentoring relationship, with Hal surprising himself with how well he handles a temporary -- or, if you like, ongoing -- sidekick/teammate.

With that scarf, though, I'd like to see if there's any way to team her up with the Fourth Doctor.

Yes, they were from the same original

In STF, is the Negative Zone the same place as the Antimatter Universe?

I think they will likely animate Ms. Marvel via a motion capture suit.
They will use her powers when needed rather just all of the time like she uses them when in costume.

I am wondering who they will get to play her mother.
Shohreh Aghdashloo could handle it will and has enough of a name to attract additional viewers.

Shohreh is 69 years old. She could play Kamala's grandmother, or possibly aunt, but I don't know that I could take her seriously as the mother of a teen.

@Simreeve: probably, yes.
