Deadman Vs. Venom

I thought the first Venom movie was a lot of fun, despite going way over the top with many moments, and I hear that the sequel promises more of the same.  I will definitely be checking it out.

I am always happy to use a Jose Luis Garcia Lopez image of Deadman.  Here's a Garcia Lopez sketch of Boston Brand that I was able to pick up several years back:

Between Jose and Dick, Boston never looked better. Wonder if he could posses Doc Doom?Or would Doom have an electric guard up to protect himself? Would Brand be able to interact with Charles Xavier ? But this set up has some great potential too.

Doom would probably be immune. Partly due to his own Tibetan mystical training; and partly due to that transmigration trick he learned from the extra-terrestrial Ovoids.

I did go see Venom: Let There Be Carnage on opening day. It was indeed a lot of fun, with some great action sequences, a surprising lot of dark humor... and a very exciting mid-credits scene.

Well, tomorrow's Columbus Day. So, maybe I'll go see it and "discover" for myself just how good it is.*

*Sorry, Bob. I just couldn't resist.

I prefer it as Indigenous Peoples Day, being 3/8 of one myself. (I don't entirely go along with all the negative criticism leveled at Chris Columbus, but that criticism isn't entirely undeserved and there's no corresponding controversy around indigenous people.)

Why not leave legalize Osceola's Birthday as a national holiday? Surely, that's a Seminole--ahem! I mean seminal--event in Native American history!
