Jack of Hearts has never seemed to find a permanent home in the Marvel Universe, maybe he would have better luck in the future. With that colorful and detailed costume, Jack looks like a long lost Legionnaire anyway! It might be fun to see him mixing it up with the teens of tomorrow.

Yet another great cover! The Legion with one of Marvel's great underrated B-list heroes (maybe even C?) Great characters, terrific title. The Legion must have some hope that this will go well since Jack's energy wrist bands are still glowing strong. But who or what could have laid our hero low?
And his first team up will be with Matter Eater Lad. If one of his foes put him in this coma, then he's been Hi-jack to the Future! Love the rationale. That's a crowd he could rub elbows with. Nice shot.
You raise a couple of valid points, Ross. And a real intercompany crossover between JOH and the LSH might accomplish that using the Badoon as one of the main antagonists!
I think the only thing that would keep Jack from fitting in with the Legion would be his age, and I'm not sure of even that. This looks to be about the time that the Silver Age LSH revealed (to the reader) that "Boy" and "Girl" sobriquets were still appropriate in their 20s and 30s because of extended 30th-century lifespans.
It's also, as shown here, the period of some of the coolest costumes in Legion history... except, unfortunately, for Cosmic Boy. (Karate Kid's is questionable as well, though I think that's been discussed already.)
There have been a few one-on-one Legion team-ups on these pages (most notably Timber Wolf and Wolverine and Dawnstar and Angel, but there are some that I'd love to see:
- Phantom Girl and Shadowcat. Not only do they have a matching power type, but they can also be pretty close in age, and could develop a great friendship. Plus, PG's bellbottom costume is one of the few heavy-on-decolletage superheroine outfits that I actually like. (Maybe you could even add Ghost and start a team!)
- This also is my favorite of Light Lass' costumes, and for some reason I see her working well with Spider-Man.
- Bouncing Boy and Butterball. Time for a little body positivity... and maybe more than a little alliteration!
- Saturn Girl (whose original costume I like best) and Professor X. She's a descendant of colonists, and it seems reasonable that some of those colonists could, at least in the STFU, be descended from Xavier.
That's from the "Secrets of the Legion of Super Heroes" mini-series, isn't it?
Yes, good eye!
I knows my Legion.
I’ve always liked Jack of Hearts. I’ll take any appearance I can get!
Don't know much about Jack of Hearts, but looking at the costume and name, it'd be fun to see him taking on the Royal Flush Gang!
Nathan, see STF #2088, December 31 2017 for that cover
Actually, who I've been wanting to see Jack deal with* is Marsha, Queen of Diamonds.
*See what I did there? #BadPunNoCookie
I'd rather see him take on the Queen of Hearts from WD's ALICE IN WONDERLAND. Now there was one Disney villain who literally didn't play with a full deck!
