I am always happy to use an Iron Man image featuring the talented artwork of Bob Layton. There's something about how he makes it shine that puts his depiction above all others for me. Many years back, I commissioned an Iron Man vs. Dr. Doom illustration from him, and he went above and beyond and recreated an entire classic cover for me. I could never afford an actual cover original, so receiving this was a real treat:

Even more of a masterpiece is your latest punny title. In fact, I would go so far as to say it's positively brilliant! At least in comparison to the groaner I would've used: "Raider of the Lost Arc."

Just as I was about to say how brilliant your pun was, Ross, Cary goes and comes up with one I like even better.
Dr. Light was one of those DC villains who had no specific hero nemesis, if I recall correctly. He appeared up against many of their heroes.

After taking on the whole JLA in his first appearance, he went after the Atom, then Green Lantern (which is what convinced Marv Wolfman he was an idiot, for challenging the most powerful JLAer after being beaten by the weakest), then Flash, then Superman and Batman, and eventually the Teen Titans.

I remember that confrontation between and the World's Finest duo. It marked a lot of firsts for me. It was the very first issue of WORLD'S FINEST I had ever read. It was the very first time I had ever heard of Dr. Light. And it was the very first time I had ever heard of Zatanna the Magician!
If I recall correctly, Doc had developed some scepter-like weapon that could absorb some of Zatanna's magic via the radiant wavelengths of whatever spotlight was shining on her. And, by means of that scepter, he came unlaughably close to eliminating Superman and Batman, single-handedly!!
On the plus side? Fantasizing that I was Batman trapped, not within volleyball netting but Zee's fishnets, instead, is how I first realized I had entered adolescence. ;-)
