Subscription to this immediately, PLEASE! This would be an ironic team-up on so many different levels. Would Matt ever try to persuade Spectre from his mission or would he help find those the law can't touch?
Would Matt be in red or black in the new productions? Will his cane stretch out like Spidy's webs to move distance and speed? Will he operate mostly at night? How will they represent the radar sense? Will Black Widow be in his life? Will he be able to make a BILLION dollars at the box office? Maybe.., when Matt goes to the JIM!
Marvel will surely recast the part of Daredevil. They want all their content on Disney Plus, not having people check out Netflix to see how those shows connect.
The rumor is the Charlie's being tapped to return to the role of Matt Murdock in the next Spider-Man film, though there's no word whether Elden Henson (Foggy) and Deborah Woll (Karen) will be coming along as well. Of course Vincent D'Onofrio (Fisk) was expressing interest in facing Spider-Man even when Daredevil was still in production, and other rumors (though not quite as strong) do surround both him and Jon Bernthal (Punisher).
I wouldn't expect to hear any official news about it for at least another month and a half, though; the two-year "cooling off" period ends October 19.
Ryan Reynolds didn't do too badly as either Deadpool or Green Lantern. So, I don't see why Ben Affleck would be any more inferior doing double-duty as Batman and Daredevil.
I dunno. I would think Marvel would introduce Luke Cage first, especially since the Black Panther franchise is now in question. Mike Colter has said he would be up to come back, but that was before he got the Evil gig. I think what they do with Luke will help determine how they treat the rest of the Netflix refugees.
I second Ben Affleck reprising Daredevil.
@Jay: I don't see how Marvel could introduce Luke Cage before the next Spider-Man movie. Plus, the Black Panther franchise isn't in question; the only question is whether Marvel and Ryan Coogler will re-cast T'Challa or pass the mantle on to Shuri.
@Cary: Ben was fine as Daredevil, but there'd be a bit of a disconnect -- on several levels -- to bringing him back if Charlie's available.
But, wouldn't they have to get someone like Rich Little to imitate John Forsythe's voice?
I know I'm late but you've created another great "Shut up and take my money" moment!! I'm lost in the idea of Daredevil discussing vengeance versus justice with the Spectre!
@Carycomic: He was referring to the relatively unknown (to non-Netflix audiences) Charlie Cox. NOT the fictional Charlie Townsend!
I love this cover. Both the art and the story potential behind it are great!
To be honest? It looks like the Spectre has literally petrified Libra of Zodiac.*
*Those wanna-be Hydra pains-in-the-astrology chart?
