Warlock and Adam Strange in: "Splitting Adams!"

With Black Widow's release date being pushed back to a year after its original spot, all of Marvel's movie slate has been delayed as well.  Now comes word that James Gunn will be writing and possibly directing some episodes for a new HBO Max series spinning of of The Suicide Squad and starring John Cena's Peacemaker - so it sounds like he will be busy with DC characters for a while longer.  When will Guardian's of the Galaxy Vol. 3 get underway?  Audiences have waited a long time for that Adam Warlock post credits scene from Vol. 2 to pay off, and it looks like we are going to have to keep waiting for a few more years.

Adam Strange and Warlock first met way back in STF #79...

The real silver age Man of Two Worlds, Adam Strange. Exciting cover Ross. The new "Strange Adventures" story with Adam is a puzzle that i'm not happy with, but it seems to almost be the version before Flashpoint.

BTW, how about Adam (Ant) and the Ants, and Atom Ant?

My first guess, in answer to your question, was...Black Adam!

But, he would've confronted them, directly. Since, when it comes to acting from behind the scenes, he's about as subtle as a ton of bricks!
So, instead, I'll guess an alliance of convenience between Prof. Hugo Strange...and the Man-Beast.

Nice structure in that cover. It really flows.

Cary's right; if Black Adam's a part of this story, he's more likely to be in his "anti-hero" mode and come to the rescue of his fellow Adams. Either way, he might take exception to the logo on Warlock's chest.

As for GotG3, I think James will free up time for that as soon as the pandemic is over and schedules become more reliable.

Random thought #1: With #3000, Ross, you pointed out how many people you've given Green Lantern rings to over the course of things. How about other colors? You could give a red one to Thaddeus Ross (with She-Hulk and Jade to fight him, if you want to avoid the obvious Hulk and Green Lantern), or a purple one to Starfox.

Random thought #2: If you were to team up Namor with the owl sidekick to the original Doctor Mid-Nite, you could use the title "Hooty and the Blowfish."

Random throught #3: Next month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Would it be in bad taste to recognize that with a team-up of Black Cat and Power Girl?

Bob, Red Hulk received a Red Lantern Ring in STF #2394

Ah! I did not remember that. Still, pitting him against either of the above two pairs would make for a fun cover. (Or, Red Hulk Lantern versus Iron Beetle!)

This Warlock and the Flash could be fun. Not the J.L.A., just the Flash. Maybe like, Bolts from the blue. Your imagination does give lots of potentials.
Supergirl is leaving after next year for her new child, just like Arrow's lead did. The Times & diapers they are a changing.

I was going to also suggest an Adam Warlock vs Black Adam. Perhaps another Adam, the Blue Marvel vs Black Adam for a little Black & Blue beatdown!

Horsefeathers' mention of Supergirl leaving leads me to think that it may be appropriate to do a special "farewell" photo cover some time in the next several months, putting Melissa with, say, Scarlett Johanssen. Timing it for next May (when we should be seeing the Supergirl series finale as well as the release of Black Widow movie) would probably be ideal. And, I think that those two heroes would make for an exciting story in Russia (with Red Daughter as one of the antagonists)!

The mention of Red Lantern rings made me think of an interesting team-up. Dex-Starr trying to join the Pet Avengers.
