I was disappointed that Adam Strange never got the chance to become closer to his comic book version before Krypton was cancelled. He may still get a chance to shine though - HBO Max is planning a Strange Adventures TV series, and I imagine the character will be a part of that. I am also interested in the upcoming Adam Strange comic series by Tom King, Mitch Gerads and Doc Shaner.
This is the fourth appearance of the Strange boys on the blog. They were last seen forced to do penance in STF #2649, before that, they were trying to escape from Limbo in STF #2146, and they were first revealed to be brothers in STF #370...

I love When you create connections where there are none, my fave being Cap America and Wonder Woman's romance. Wonder what you could with Jones?
Ditto MarchHare. And how is the Cap-WW marriage these days? Last I remember Cap was enraged to find Diana and Superman in full-on smooch mode. Could they be in couples counseling, perhaps with Doc Samson? Or maybe it's Diana's turn to catch Cap with someone else?
BTW, is this Uncle Hugo's first appearance with the Brothers Strange?
CONGRATULATIONS Ross, you're very own Hugo award.The ayes had it from the start. There was a Strange Report about red skies, but nothing seems to have come from them.
Looks like Oliver is going to be the New Spectre. If they couldn't get HAL Jordon, why not.
Looks like Brawley finally got his wish. Good job, Ross! Though, something tells me he's not really their "uncle."
"Adam; Stephen, I am your FATHER!"
[Insert Imperial Death March, here.]
Sorry Cary, Uncle Hugo may true to fool the boys, but their long-lost father is really... the Phantom STRANGEr.
I love what you did with Hugo's glasses here. I do hope he's on more covers with his nephews.
I know I've probably said this on previous appearances, but still: What I really love about the Brothers Strange here is that they're from two different worlds, science and magic. It makes me want to see them face a foe who is not only from a third company, but outside both of their wheelhouses. If I extend the former restriction out to anything Warner or Disney, that mainly leaves... Dennis the Menace!
(We also really need to see Dennis move next door to Calvin & Hobbes.)
While I am a big Adam Strange fan, Brave & Bold animated was the only place he got a good view. Dr Strange going to Rann would be a nice touch...especially since he has a superhero look with his face mask.
Hugo looks like the Gotham incarnation, very lifelike.
Are the opponents of Michael Vick beieg a Pro Bowl captain watching horse races at Santa Anita Park? LOL! XD!
Bob G, which Dennis the Menace did you have in mind, the UK or US version? They actually met on a different blog a few years ago.
Last Anon: I was going with Dennis Mitchell, the US one; I wasn't aware of the UK one before this. Cool link, though.
A spoiler? Seriously?

@Davejonz: As the mainframe computer in 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY might've said...
"I saw what you did there, Dave."
@Unknown: LOL!
@DC50 & 40Something: those red skies do seem to have made CW Free On Demand disappear from my local cable TV provider. :-(
Hugo looks like he has a thyroid condition. If the boys try on each other's "toys", Adam in a cape and Stevie in a jet pack, that could be something.
As for Ollie, nothing is set in stone, or in the stars. 2 BIG hours are left. Twists and turns are their stock in trade. And the names have NOT been changed to protect anyone.
Anon 4:53, Michael Vick at the horse races? Really? What can I say? Horesefeathers.
:D
Adam Strange was one of my early favorite comics, and then later, Dr. Strange was one of my favorite Marvels. To see them finally reunited with Uncle Hugo! Magnifique!
One of your finest. All the stiff you do best: revealing the unspoken connections, beautiful design, excellent swiping, and lovely little details to bring it home.
Love it!
@my two fellow anonymii:
"Mr. Vick? I'm Peter Parker...of the Santa Anita Parkers. What's your position on spiders?"
I was just thinking, late last night, about what HHH just said regarding the Brothers Strange swapping equipment. I think it'd be a lot of work for you, Ross, so it's up to you whether it'd be worth it.
@Bob Greenwade, shame you don't have a name starting with "H", it'd be the start of a new 4H club.
Love the way you think, but you're going over the top. With Ross, he could switch heads faster than Clark in a phone booth switching clothes.
As to @Anonymous 10:41, animal abuse is never a laughing matter nor the people who do it.
@3H: Well said. :-)
