Swamp Thing Vs. Thanos
I have been re-watching the Silver Surfer animated series and getting a kick out the Jack Kirby designs and of all the Marvel characters they included. It's interesting to see quite different iterations of now popular MCU characters like Drax, Nebula, Gamora and especially Thanos. I'm glad the movies gave him more of a motivation then mooning after Lady Chaos (couldn't use Lady Death in a cartoon, I guess)!

Your guess is correct. That was the primary reason.
Another reason might be that the writers probably didn't want to confuse her with the Chaos! Comics character. Copyrights and trademarks are such touchy subjects these days.
P.S.---Since the Swamp Thing's body is too composty to hold one of those Titanian slave discs, I'd wager some other kind of mind-control. Or, rather, Mr. Mind control!*
*I wouldn't put it past Old Purple Puss to form an alliance of convenience with that little green worm.
Beautiful cover. Very strong image, great symmetry. Really nice job putting it all together. And it looks like it would be a heck of an adventure to read!
@Cary: Thanos just knows Swampy's mind like the back of his hand.
His left hand.
@Bob: That would make him one sinister mister. ;-)
Swamp Thing is probably thinking...
"O, Thanos-baum! O, Thanos-baum!
Such posterial pain you cause me!"
