Legion of Super-Heroes and The Silver Surfer

I was glad to see that The Legion of Super-Heroes are set to make a comeback as a result of the events of DC Rebirth.  Since DC seems to be once again fully embracing it's rich history, I hope that they find some way to weave Superboy back into the mythos,  I always felt like there was something lost when he was removed after Crisis on Infinite Earths, and never quite enjoyed LSH tales after that point as the ones that came before.

Yep! DC failed--undeniably and miserably--to streamline _anything_ after COIE #12. I just hope they keep the Reborn DCU around a whole lot longer than they did the post-Hypertime DCU. Like, say, permanently?

As for this team-up cover; another inspired precedent, Ross! I honestly don't think you've ever paired these two before. Is this a reworking of that Adventure Comics cover where Silver Age Supergirl was trapped in an orbital graveyard with a bunch of other people in overgrown test tubes?

No, different cover.

What's Kon-El's status in the current DC Multiverse? He might be an interesting fit into the Legion.

The Legion scribes made gallant and clever efforts to keep the team going after the stupid decision of DC management to remove Superboy, but alas, Ross is correct that the LSH never quite recovered.

*sigh* Correcting poor decisions of management is one of the reasons we have fan fiction.

I feel like the DC universe is like a document that has been shredded and scotch taped back together so many times now that no matter how carefully they try to repair it it will still be impossible to read....

SonofJack wins the thread.

I noticed that the LSH ring was on display when Supergirl visited her cousin's Fortress of Solitude. Hopefully they'll make an appearance on her show.
