Dick Tracy Vs. The Shadow

When I was a kid, my older brother Gregg liked the Dick Tracy newspaper strip and  decided to collect them.  He got a spiral notebook and each day cut out the latest installment of Chester Gould's comic strip.  In those days before collected editions of comic were commonplace, it was great to be able to read entire adventures in one sitting, and that notebook made me a fan of Dick Tracy ever since.

I would really like to see a Dick Tracy/Shadow crossover comic.

I grew up reading Dick Tracy in The Chicago Tribune - Crimestoppers Notebook! Awesome stuff! It's been years since I read the strip, though! Thanks for the flashback!

Dick Tracy wa never in any newspapers that I can remember seeing over here (England, 1960s onwards), but I learnt about the character from books about the history of comics... and saw & enjoyed the 1990s [or early 2000s?] film when that was released.

Considering that Dynamite Entertainment currently has licensing rights to do based on other Golden Age comic strip greats from the King Features Syndicate (Flash Gordon, Mandrake, the Phantom), I don't think a real team-up between the Shadow and Dick Tracy is that implausible.
After all; if DC and IDW can do one between Batman and TMNT...!
