Batman and Nighthawk in "How to Swindle a Billionaire!"

A new Nighthawk ongoing series has been announced from Marvel.  I'm not sure which Nighthawk it will be but my suspicions are that it will revolve around the Nighthawk that belongs to The Squadron Supreme.  I hope I am wrong though, because it would be nice to see Kyle Richmond getting the spotlight after being a supporting character for decades.

These two teamed up once before in an early B&B MS Paint cover...

...and this isn't the first time Batman has let a pretty face distract him from his mission... it's happened with Dazzler and Little Annie Fanny as well...

I've always liked Nighthawk. Especially when Steve Gerber was writing him.

I believe it's the Supreme Power Nighthawk.

Now if only we can see this Nighthawk (or any of Marvel's) team up with the Nighthawk from Champions. Not likely, I know, but at least that Nighthawk is shown on the cover of most Sixth Edition Champions supplements.

Hey, what can I say? I love those same-name team-ups.

As to this cover, I don't recognize the woman. Is she someone I should recognize? (A less-familiar Poison Ivy costume, perhaps?) Or is she just an "extra"?

Just a random damsel that batman was saving from Man-Bat in the original image.

I remember this story! It was the very first Batman comic (specifically, an issue of DETECTIVE COMICS) I had ever read after the heyday of the Adam West series and the Filmation Saturday morning cartoons. I remember being more disturbed, however, by the absence of Robin rather than the presence of Man-Bat. And, to be honest, I was absolutely non-crazy about the art work done by the two Franks (Robbins and Springer). Everybody looked like Jonathan "the Scarecrow" Crane...

...which was most definitely not a good thing.

The Jack Kirby-esque art work on the reprint of REX THE WONDER DOG, however (especially Maria Dana) was fabulous!

@Bob G.: Not DC's Nighthawk?

I liked Nighthawk for quite a while. I kind of soured on the defenders during the Dollar Bill silliness (was that JM deMattis?) A good writer could make me like him again.

This scene, with one of the Defenders present and that name being used for the girl, reminds me of the time when the Hulk rejoined his companions while carrying a fawn, and explained that "Men killed Bambi's mother"...

Other Bob: DC's Nighthawk would be cool too. Maybe all three Nighthawks together?

If Catwoman married Earth-616's Nighthawk, would that make her...Selina Kyle-Richmond?
