Absolutely brilliant. And Aunt May needs to keep talking about "that awful Bat Person".
It'll probably work fine, but I know what you mean. I grew up knowing the white-haired, frail, and slightly daffy May. It was a bit of an adjustment to see the much wiser and stronger Rosemary Harris, but not too much. Sally Field was a bigger adjustment. She was in her mid 60s but still seemed to much too young to my mind.
Marisa Tomei is 50 and looks a decade or so younger. Marvel has done an amazing job with casting their movies, and she's a very good actress, but this is gonna be a bit adjustment.
In the comics I always thought she was around 80, more likely a great-aunt for Peter, but it seemed more reasonable that an aunt would only be about 30 years older (aside from a later-born aunt or earlier born Peter). Don't know if they'll give Marissa alot of make up or if she'll play 50-something, but at least with her talent she could make something of the part.

I felt the same way when Diane Lane played Ma Kent . . . . It's a funny thing though, even in the comics Aunt May seems way younger than she did thirty years ago!
Didn't Marvel once publish a story in which May was secretly Peter's mother, and had become pregnant while still in her teens, meaning that in THAT version of continuity she should still have been only in her thirties when he started his career?
