The Quarrymen
Back in STF #270, I presented the beginnings of this team. A few commented that Badrock from Image Comics would fit right in with the group I had assembled, and I have to agree. So, now with their return appearance, they have added him in as a member,
Finally clear shots of The Thing from the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot have been making the rounds, and I am less than impressed. I was happy to hear that they were going with a CGI Thing this time around because I figured they could make him look just like the comics. Then design they came up with is way off - His size seems to change from image to image, his face is all wrong, he has too many fingers and for some reason he's not wearing pants in any of the pictures released.

There's a Fantastic Four movie coming out? I hadn't heard!!! ;) Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
Great cover!
They could use a cute child sidekick. Perhaps, Pebbles.
I know you already have Marvel represented here, but in a future issue Korg and Rockslide should show up. Maybe they could all team up to fight the Gorginak from Galaxy Quest.
Plus I feel like at least maybe Boulder of the Rocklords should make an appearance?
So, this is what the group looked like *before* John Lennon joined, maybe...?
hey Ross, so where are stu sutcliff and pete best.... another great cover, you must work on them eight days a week..... this is another fab team up..... say, how about this idea..... Prof. Xavier, Barbra Gordon as Oracle, Dr. Niles Caulder, Dr. Miles Hawkins from TVs M.A.N.T.I.S., and Dr. Wells from the Flash..... all wheelchair bound...... what do you think???
later Ross..... the jack-el
I hope they don't get into a mistaken-identity slugfest with Disney's Gargoyles.
Maybe tomorrow group shold consist of
Ulysses Bloodstone, Cyborg, Stoneboy from the Legion of Substitute Superheroes, Moonstone, and Turok, Son of Stone.... since today was the pre-Beatles tomorrow should be The Stones in all fairness.... just another idea from..... the jack-el
Jack-El - it seems like it would be tough to fit all those wheelchairs into one image but that's what I thought about an all-motorcycle riding team and i made that works, so who knows?
wanted to mention just found out batman 66 will meet the british duo the avengers steed and emma peel im psyched
"I was happy to hear that they were going with a CGI Thing this time around because I figured they could make him look just like the comics." <--- you mean like they didn't with that "human torch"?; those are not the F4, not even close :/
I'm surprised nobody's said this before now, but at least I haven't missed my opportunity.
Ross, this cover really rocks.
"Derek Ash said...
'I know you already have Marvel represented here, but in a future issue Korg and Rockslide should show up.'"
Looks to me as though there's a 'one character per company' limit here, though, right?
Otherwise, for example from Marvel we could also => She-Thing, and It the Living Colossus... and didn't they use the [original?] Golem at least once?
And from DC we could also have Monolith, Strata (an ancestor of Blok?) and whatever his name was in 'The Ravers' (Buttress?)

My next suggestion for a team-up, although admittedly this isn't exactly the most serious idea possible: Power Girl meets Barbie... Not only are they both "shapely" blondes, they also both have had a boyfriend named 'Ken' [at least for the latest version of PG): What if that was the SAME 'Ken', who'd been cheating on Barbie with PG?
^_^
How about a cover depicting Barbie's boyfriend running off with the lead singer of the Holograms (who are finally getting a live-action movie, btw)? You could call it:
"KEN MEETS JEN"
Wouldn't that be KEN MEETS JEM...???
Now if he were to meet She-Hulk it could still be KEN MEETS JEN.... jack-el
Are they coming together to rescue Pebbles?
