The Coven

With Constantine set to premiere this week, Scarlet Witch joining the cinematic Avengers and Doctor Strange about to be cast, magical super-heroics are poised to become the next big thing.  It will be interesting to see how each characters abilities are manifested onscreen, as special effects can really give their incantations and spells an extra visual kick.  I just hope that the magic portrayed follows some sort of set of rules, and isn't used simply as anything-goes deus ex machina plot devices.

Is that Clea in the card Madame Xanadu is holding up?

It's a pity you're not that familiar with the Champions Universe (of the RPG). Witchcraft or Solitaire would have fit into this group just right.

(And I don't think "Tinkerbell" should have that trailing E.)

Yup, That's Clea!

This would be a great comic. Love to see more covers with these girls and other magic girls on them. (hint hint)

I wish you'd had used Zatanna's stage-mage costume. That Tony Isabella outfit really sucked for me. Especially, that ruby insectoid headdress! I always half-expected it to turn out to be some kind of Lovecraftian parasite!!

Okay, I know that the Madame Xanadu is by Kaluta (it's the cover of the old one-shot) and the Zatanna is by Peréz, but isn't the Clea by Frank Brunner? Is the Scarlet Witch also Peréz, or is that by Russell (or Leonardi inked by Russell)?

Clea is Brunner and SW is Sandy Plunkett.

If you could have squeezed her in somewhere, I think Wendy the Good Little Witch (Harvey) would have fit in there.

@Michael Jones: Samantha Stephens (Elizabeth Montgomery), too.
