Spider-Man and The Six Million Dollar Man

I have really been enjoying the artwork of Earl Norem lately.  He matches lush painting with a comic book sensibility of staging and action that I find to be incredibly appealing.  His art looks great in any genre, too - whether it's superheroes, horror, sword & sorcery, even the Planet of the Apes, he always composes a memorable image that presents its characters in the best way possible.

I agree with my colleagues! Ever thought of a Spidey/Webb(MLJ) team-up?

I don't know who that is.

Do you remember a short-lived science fiction/detective TV series from 1988 called Probe? It starred Parker Stevenson as Austin James. He should be included in this crossover, so he could meet Parker, Jameson, and Steve Austin.

MLJ was the original name of Archie Comics. I think Anonymous is referring to The Web from the Archie superhero line.

A better link.

I remember Norem's artwork from the time... and like you, I was really captivated by it. He really did a great job of bring high-quality illustration to comic book covers. In my teens, I had never seen anything like this. Now, of course, I know he was referencing the great pulp artists like George Rosen and others. Great work on this cover, by the way!

I can just picture the mistaken-identity slugfest being initiated by a Chameleon impersonating a secretly abducted Oscar Goldman. Great job, all around!

How about a classic team-up of M.A.C.H.1 from the British comic 2000A.D with the Six Million Dollar Man?
