Hawkman and Captain America
Captain America: The Winter Soldier reminded me why The Falcon was always my favorite partner for Cap. Cap seems to work well with an avian-themed hero, so I think that it would have been cool if he had such a teammate back in his golden age days. Who better than Carter Hall?

Cap would have made a great JSA member...And there are JSA members that would make great Invaders.
A Pre-Crisis classic that never was: The JSA and the Invaders team up to stop Per Degaton and The Red Skull from conquering two earths while Easy Company, The Howling Commandos, and The Losers deal with hordes of Nazis led by Barons Strucker and Blitzkreig.
This is awesome!! And Carter's wings are *huge*. They scaled down in later years. Wonder if he ever got cold, running around without a shirt? In one of his later solo series he was based in Louisiana, but his earlier adventures were clearly in a northern city or its environs. Maybe Nth metal has nipple-defrosting properties as well.
Cap is probably helping the Golden Age Hawkman rescue his future brother-in-law...
...Cyril "Speed" Saunders of the River Patrol.
