Green Lantern Vs. The Hulk in "Mean and Green!"

A lot of people are lobbying for John Stewart to be the Green Lantern of the Justice League movie, and while I wouldn't mind that, I still think that Hal Jordan should get another chance to shine.  The Hulk's turn in The Avengers taught us that a character can still become a fan favorite even after two non-blockbuster movie attempts.  I would be fine with a recasting, though.  Bradley Cooper tried out for and lost the role of Hal Jordan the first time around - is it too late to get him back?

I liked The Incredible Hulk. I liked that it had Abomination in it. I'm not sure why it wasn't more successful. I liked the story.

Green Lantern was a missed opportunity. As much as I like Emerald Dawn, I like the idea that Hal Jordan is more like Matt Murdock. Fearless. Maybe that's more Bradley Cooper than Ryan Reynolds. But then, maybe John Stewart would bring more of a military gravitas than a test pilot cockiness.

BTW...if this story is about "rage", why no Red Lanterns or Red Hulks? ;)

Who needs those wannabes when you can have the real thing?

First thing I thought of when seeing this cover was of the Hulk being a Red Lantern. Now that would be a scarey sight.

I remember hearing rumors of Nathan Fillian as GL way back.

@Air Dave: "Military gravitas"? Are you thinking of James Rhodes, from Iron Man? John Stewart was an architect. I don't know how badly they've screwed around with him in the New52, but it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't understand (or care) about the historical significance of Stewart being an architect. (For non-American readers, Harvey Gantt, the first black student to enroll in South Carolina and spearhead integration, was a architecture major. After O'Neill and Adams created Stewart, Gantt used his degree to pursue city planning, hence the "Mosaic" series in the 1990's.)

I am one of the few people on Earth who actually liked Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern. I liked the Green Lantern movie as a whole. I really can't see why it's so hated. =(
