Scalphunter and Warpath
I enjoyed Warpath's brief scenes in X-Men: Days of Future Past. He was cool to watch in action even if there was no room for character development in such an overstuffed film. I liked the movie as a whole quite a bit, especially the last several scenes. I had one major nitpick though - and it has to do with the scene everyone seems to be talking about as the highlight of the film. (Spoilers ahead) The Quicksilver scene where he saves Wolverine, Beast and Magneto from the authorities' bullets was indeed very cool and a blast to watch, but I feel that it just made the character way too powerful - if he had that kind of control over his speed why on Earth didn't Wolverine and friends take him with them to stop Mystique? He could have solved all of their problems in a split second, and it made no sense to me that they said goodbye to him after the Magneto breakout.

I had the same complaint: Quicksilver's scene was at once the best and worst part of the film. As a display of power, it was terrific and fun, but it pointed out some of the logical faults in the movie--of which there were many. I'm one of the few who didn't like the movie, and one of the reasons, as you mentioned, was how overcrowded it was and the lack of development. Warpath, Bishop, Blink, Sunspot, Storm, Iceman, Colossus... They weren't characters; they were just power sets that flashed by on the screen. I didn't care when any of them died (twice) because we didn't spend any time getting to know them.
I agree with you. That super-speed scene made him seem more like Barry Allen than Pietro Maximoff! As it was DC' Silver Age Flash who had such abilities, rather than Marvel's contemporaneous Quicksilver.

They could have solved that plot hole so easily by having Pietro say at the end "wow, pushing myself like that really burns me out for a day or two". There, that is why he was not used, his speed needed time to recharge, problem solved.
I'm going to sound like a fanboy for a minute and ask if anyone remembers the cover of Weird Western tales where Scalphunter was arm wrestling with Lincoln? Awesome stuff!
Now that's a team up!
I think you're being hyper critical of an otherwise enjoyable film. Having such a large cast limits character development it's true but for all intents and purposes these movies have become The Wolverine Show starring Hugh Jackman. Go back and watch The Dirty Dozen or The Expendables and you'll see personalities more so than development. I was pleased to see other mutants for a change on screen. My gripe was the short aamount of time they did garner but better than none at all.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...You sir rock!
