Jimmy Olsen and Werewolf By Night

This pairing was the suggestion of Michael Eury, Editor-in-Chief of the always awesome Back Issue magazine (subscribe at http://twomorrows.com/), and I had to give it a shot.  Jimmy may have been written out of Superman's movie adventures, but I still have fond memories about that goofball always getting in over his head.  This is just the kind of predicament I would imagine him finding himself in if he ever ventured into the Marvel Universe.

Jimmy Olsen!!! Yes!
He is probably the best sidekick a hero could have! A blank page that anything can be written on.

I just picked up the trade collecting all his strange transformations - it is fantastic! I want to pick up Showcase Presents: Superman Family for more of his stories and his team-ups with Robin.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, this one is great. It was an issue of Jimmy Olsen that started me on the road to comic collecting, and I've always has a special fondness for his (mis)adventures.

I forgot to mention... love the Young Frankenstein reference, too.

Be careful what you wish for.

You might get Rick Jones.

Bob, I was hoping someone would catch that!

I have to agree with you, Ross -- this is exactly the kind of situation that Jimmy (at least, during the Silver Age) would have gotten himself into.

Here's hoping to see more of Jimmy in future installments. So far he's only been in one other pairing (with Mr. Fantastic), but I'd love to see him together with Rick Jones.

I loved the Mr. Action era, when Jimmy Olsen was awesome enough to do his own thing and only rarely needed Superman's assistance. His team-ups with Robin happened before then (another great chapter in Jimmy's adventures), but they set the stage for his independent greatness.

It's very sad to me that every reboot at DC seems to set him further back. Then again, each successive DC reboot gets worse and worse, so I guess it should come as no surprise.

That's the great thing about the Silver Age. Really silly humor with high flying concepts. We'll never see the like again now that DC's trashing it's legacy(again). Now Ross, how about that Jimmy Olsen/Rick Jones team up. Or Rick Jones/Snapper Carr.

LOVE that title! Reminds me of Marty Feldman's pun from "Young Frankenstein."
