Gambit and Catwoman
For some reason, I was never really able to get into Gambit as a character. Maybe it was because he hit the scene just as I was getting out of following the X-Men family of titles, or maybe it was his wonky costume that couldn't seem to decide what it wanted to be. I think the main thing was his Cajun accent, which most writers tended to over-exaggerate. I just seemed silly to me. I do like his power set though, and maybe I only need to read the right story to change my mind.

I would like to see what Gambit would be like if Stan Lee had created him, or if he was part of that wave of All-New Uncanny X-Men of '75.
I'm still shaking my head - is Catwoman dead or alive? There was such a hubbub over her taking a shot in Justice League America to get back at Batman, but I see she still have a book of her own...?
@AirDave - Spoiler Alert! She is still alive. It was not her that took a bullet in JLA a few months ago but her teammate Martian Manhunter who had assumed her appearance.
