Quantum Leap and Sliders

This cover came from an idea that one of this blog's regular followers posted in a recent comment section (Mr. Acer, I believe).  I got a kick out of both of these shows, and I thought that given the concepts of their series, it was only natural that they would eventually bump into each other.  Throw in a cameo by DC's alternate timeline cop, and you would have a story that would've had my VCR primed and ready to record!

I have to confess that I have never seen an episode of Sliders. It sounded like a pretty cool series.

I also have to confess that after the Quantum Leap series finale, I stopped watching television for a while.

It wasn't until my wife suggested I give this show Doctor Who a try on Netflix, that I now see Quantum Leap as an Americanized version of Doctor Who...

Very cool painted cover!

Nice one! Thanks for the mention. It's too bad that there weren't any Sliders comics to go with the later seasons, otherwise you could've done a sequel where one of the newer Sliders, Maggie Beckett (Kari Wuhrer) learns Sam Beckett is her descendant.

Personally I think it would be cool to see Sam Beckett Leap into Jonathan Archer.

Sliders was a great concept that was horribly mishandled. Read this for a hint of what the creator had to go through. I've also heard that John Rhys-Davies left the show because the writers announced that they had run out of ideas for alternate earths and were going to start revisiting earlier ones. He didn't want to work with writers whose imaginations were that limited.

I don't know what you did but now I can access the site! Perfect! Thanks for that too!

At Mr. Acer:

I believe you mean, "ancestor." In fact, given how he changed his brother Tom's fate in the VietNam War, she could even be Sam's niece!

Where is the brisket gravy? You should NEVER have Sliders without Brisket Gravy, it's simply not done.

Great cover idea! Love the idea of a collab between these two shows- and the nod to the time traveling show off Booster Gold!
