Batman and Man-Wolf

The Wolf Man was always my favorite of the classic movie monsters, so a character that merged a werewolf with a comic book hero/villain was an easy sell for me.  I was also quite taken by the "Mark of the Man-Wolf" Spider-Man comic book and record set from Power Records that I listened to countless times as a kid.  You would think that J. Jonah Jameson's son transforming into a super-powered creature would have softened his views against masked vigilantes,  but it only strengthened his stance.  I guess he wouldn't be the JJJ we all know and love if it were otherwise, though!   I haven't seen Man-Wolf show up in the Spider-Man titles in years, and I hope that changes soon.  He is one of Spidey's better under-used adversaries and I am sure there are more stories to tell featuring him.

I agree Man-Wolf rocked! Hey maybe that was him in Apollo 18! Have you done Batman on the Planet of the apes yet?

Ross - Since you like super hero werewolves, have you checked out Robert Kirkman's The Astounding Wolf-Man?

Haven't had the chance, but I have heard good things and I do like Kirkman.

Awesome cover - - but you didn't go with "Man-Wolf of Gotham" or "A New York Man-Wolf in Gotham" as the cover title! Shocking.

:)

My favorite issue of The Batman Adventures is issue 11 or 12 of the original 1992 run...it was a Halloween issue that featured the return of the Catman creature, along with Catwoman and Man-Bat - it was a Monster Mash book...a sequel to one of the Batman: The Animated series episodes!

Who?

I think Michael Jones is referring to Captain Canuck, a 1970's character who was self published for about 14 issues and had pretty decent visuals (by George Freeman? I've probably got that name wrong.) There was an attempted revival in the 1990's that was followed up on last decade.

For more on John Jameson, he's appeared in most of the versions of SHE HULK over the years. Maybe somebody who does a She Hulk blog can fill us in on where he is, continuity-wise.

Doh! Of course I meant Captain Canuck. Thanks for clearing that up.

I always have loved Man-Wolf. Is that the Canterbury Cricket watching them? I think he really is a new character created for Flashpoint but to me C.C. is a dumb character.

How about Man-wolf vs. one of the Mr. Monsters?
