Hawkeye and The Huntress in: "Breakthrough!"

Presenting the ninth appearance of the Hawkeye/Huntress brother-sister act. If you have been following their adventures here, you'll know that they have been piecing together missing parts of their childhood, and it looks like their hard work is about to pay off. The Hawkeye Disney+ show starts today, I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Happy to use Brett Breeding artwork here.  He is responsible for my favorite piece of art that I ever commissioned:

Ross, you're making it harder and harder to stay focussed on your covers when you share your art collection at the same time. I can see why you would love Brett's
rendition of the Earth 2 Robin. Brett captured the old devil may care kid that grew up but not darker.

Wow! Such fantastic composition on this piece. Thus has to be one of my favorite, if not my favorote, team up you do.

Terrific Breeding commission, Ross. No wonder it is your favorite.

Too bad he's still locked in a never-ending struggle with Kang. Dark Knight Robin was always my favorite Silver Age JSA-er!

The H&H covers are always fun, Ross, especially when you get the Archery Sibs so perfectly matched in color. Now it looks like they're about to get a place where they can set up a shared HQ, so maybe we'll get a peek at that next time they're up.

(Hopefully they won't find out that their birth father is White Feather!)

I'll be watching the Hawkeye premiere as soon as my apartment complex's quiet hours are over, and probably comment on it here (and on Facebook and Twitter) not long after.

Speaking of TV and movie characters, I'd kind of hoped that we'd have a Benoist/Larson photo cover for the Danvers Twins around now, the same way we had an Amell/Renner cover when Arrow concluded and Hawkeye was announced.

From another angle, with Spider-Man: No Way Home premiering next month and Flashpoint gearing up, we have two heroes who break their respective multiverses. A cover featuring Flash and Spidey surrounded by scary villains from other universes (such as Shredder, the Terror, Darth Maul, Davros, Predator, etc.) would be a lot of fun to mark the occasion.

Bob, I tried a photo cover for the Danvers twins but I can't find images that work to my satisfaction yet, maybe someday. However, tomorrow's cover is one that you and others have suggested,if memory serves.

Excellent! I'll be looking forward to tomorrow. And do keep plugging away at that Danvers Twins photo cover; maybe you can have it by the time The Marvels is on our doorstep.

@Ross: what about an image of Helen Slater from the Salkind Supergirl (circa 1987) posed side-by-side with Brie Larson?

Carycomic said...

That sounds like an acceptable compromise.

@Anon & Cary: Part of the point of using Melissa Benoist's image in my suggestion is because of Supergirl coming to an end.

None too soon, some might say.
