The High Evolutionary seems like another Marvel villain that is ripe for the MCU treatment. Stories featuring him always took some twisted turns. I can see him being fascinated by a specimen like Metamorpho.
Ant-Man also helped Animal Man out of a High Evolutionary experiment way back in STF #283...

This is the kind of story that give S-TF...tli. it 's reputation for quality.
HE is obviously having another one of his messianic lapses. The kind that make him cross the line between isolationist snob and would-be world conqueror! I wonder what made him target Metamorpho, though? A heart-to-heart talk with Java, perhaps?*
*Post-TERRIFICS #17, of course.
Dear Ross: for your next trick, how about Godzilla vs. GRODD-ZILLA? As in; the mind of Grodd in Titano's bod! That way, Gojira-san would have to call on Superman (or someone just like him) for help.
The High Evolutionary could make a decent Phase-level villain in the MCU. But who'd play him? (My first thought was Cheech Marin, but I don't think he'd go over so well.)
He'd make a good villain to recur more frequently here than he has, too, with plenty of potential with various DC characters. For example, I could see him targeting certain Justice Leaguers to harvest their extraterrestrial DNA, or "borrowing" the work of Anton Arcane or Jason Woodrue. He might even have something to learn from examining Bizarro.
This is a story I would really like to read, with no irony or tee-hee to it.
What an incredible cover. Good job!!
