The Savage Land is an untapped locale so far for the MCU. I hope they get there eventually, though. In addition to residents Shanna and Ka-Zar, some really cool Marvel Comics storylines have taken place there. I'd love to see it and it's inhabitants brought to the big screen.

More likely, it's Malgato on the second of his nine lives.
For those of you too young to remember, that's the Spanish alias used by the evil wizard who first brought Shanna and Ka-Zar together. As part of some bizarre ritual involving the voluntary sacrifice of heroes!
Why he turned out to be wearing a "Mission: Impossible" -type face mask, at the time of his escape, has never been revealed. Something that Gruenwaldian fans of continuity, among Marvel's current crop of writers, are long overdue in exploiting for fresh story purposes!
And that is my long-winded guess for Xena being in the 21st century Savage Land.
The Savage Land opening up in the MCU is probably inevitable; it's just a question of when and how. Will it start with a Ka-Zar series on Disney+, or will they start with a visit from the X-Men? Or will it be something else? I'd hope for the former in anticipation of the latter, but you never know what Kevin Feige will cook up -- it might even be the site of the Fantastic Four's crash-landing!
That premise could also serve to introduce Kraven the Hunter! Picture it:
Reed Richards and his three friends crash in the Savage Land. A military expedition from McMurdo Naval Base goes out to rescue them, accompanied by Daily Bugle photojournalist Peter Parker. In the process, the reason for the crash is discovered to be an alien life form that keeps calling out...
"...Tsiln!"
It seems this alien collided with the FF's rocket, in Earth orbit, damaging the latter's lead shielding, which let in mutagenic cosmic rays, which---in turn---well, you guys know the rest.
As for Kraven? He could be ret-conned as a war criminal from the Soviet Occupation of Afghanistan. A hunter/killer of mujahideen who got to like the hunting and killing too much. Leading to desertion from the Red Army. Followed by mercenary work for Southeast Asian drug cartels. And, then, a stint working for the Yakuza as a "counter-insurgent" among a group of eco-terrorists who've sabotaged one too many Japanese whalers in the Antarctic.

My F4 fanscript has the crash-land-and-rescue part of the scenario, but it's not the US Military that does the latter part. See, the project was done with the assistance of the Wakandan Minister of Science, and a certain rather large, green scientist who has a little experience in sending people to other star systems in the blink of an eye....

Here are two more snippets from my alternative DC Multiverse _
A second-generation crimefighter named 'Semiramis the Sorceress', wielding the 'Ruby of Life' (in a reality that does not have 'Zatanna the Magician').
1930s _ Palestine Mandate _ "Who is 'The New Samson'?"
"Rocketed to Earth as a child," etc... Most of the rocket self-destructs over Tunguska, but the infant Kal-Ls escape capsule is found bearing him next to a river -- "Like Moses in the bull-rushes" --- much further west: He is found by a childless couple named Yonathan and Marta Cantor, who are on their way to emigrate from Russia because of the pogroms, who decide to raise the infant as their own and give him the forename 'Chaim'. They settle in London, but after reaching the age of 21 Chaim migrates to Palestine where he joins a kibbutz. Then, when Arab bandits (or terrorists) begin to attack the settlers...

@Bob: are you referring to the Martian Manhunter disguised as Dr. Erdel? Or the Cinematic Hulk?
As a matter of fact, Bob, disregard the first part of that bottom sentence. I just got a better idea for a potential cover. The Martian Manhunter learning that the scientist who first brought him to Earth was really a stranded extra-terrestrial, himself!

@Cary: It's a fanfic script intended to fit into the MCU, so I'm talking about Dr. Banner. The rescue effort is led by Shuri, and Banner, Everett Ross, and a couple of Dora Milaje (I think I used Okoye and Ayo) along for the ride.

Sargon the Sorcerer was keeper of Ruby of Life not Zatara so why does it matter if Zatana was in universe?
I am wondering if Ruby of Life is an Infinity Stone which was thrown into another universe during big bang.
I've often thought it was a shard from the Great Ruby guarded by the House of Ruby in Gemworld. And, as there were twelve Great Gems, I've further conjectured that they were once better known (in the antediluvean Atlantis of Arion's day) as the Zodiac Stones!

Just keeping the number of second-generation magic-users in the superheroic ranks the same as in DC canon...
As Zatanna is now a bigger shot than her father, shouldn't that be "DC cannon?"
