With Disney so into turning all of their animated properties into live action, I'm surprised that we have never heard anything about bringing Gargoyles back. Even if they didn't want to go with a CGI-heavy live action version, the series is ripe for at least an animated revival. Maybe they are watching to see how much viewership the original episodes get on Disney+.

I remember watching the first two seasons on Old Channel 5 (Metromedia TV, NYC)...and loving it. Ditto for the ABC Saturday morning spin-off where the Gargoyles' existence became public knowledge!
That Disney cartoon series was to Mickey Mouse what Hanna-Barbera's "Jonny Quest" was to Yogi Bear. Brilliantly atypical! So, yes, I'd vote in favor of a live-action feature utilizing motion-capture CGI. I mean, if Wingnut Films could do that with with their Tolkien trilogies, there's no reason Disney couldn't do it, too.
And, before I forget, Ross? I'd buy a real-world version of this issues in a heartbeat. Because, it's your best, yet! :-)
No doubt, if this were a real comic written by Greg Weisman, I’d buy it and read it in a heartbeat.
This is indeed a great cover, Ross, and I think you're most right about Disney's strategy; I think that there simply may yet be nobody asking to work up the series. But now that you've mentioned Gargoyles being on Disney+, I think I know what I'll be binging next.
Unrelated: How about some combination of Usagi Yojimbo, Captain Carrot, Judy Hopps, Bunnie Rabbot, Hoppy the Marvel Bunny, Bucky O'Hare, Thunderbunny, Harecules Hare, E. Aster Bunnymund, Bionic Bunny, and whoever else seems right? They could team up to hunt down such villains as Señor Scratchy, Bunny Foo Foo, or the Killer of Caerbannog.
Great cover! I am a fan of both properties. When I was a teenager I actually tried to imagine a crossover between both.

DC, in one of the Justice League books, created a whole roster of Gargoyles knockoffs (in France). Far as I know never did anything else with them.

Well, now that I've seen the first four episodes (with plans on a few more before bedtime), I'm wanting to see the Gargoyles more on this blog. For starters, maybe Goliath (above) with Goliath (Tom Foster) and Goliath (the dog/lion from Samson & Goliath aka Young Samson). Then maybe get Broadway into an eating contest with someone....
Why not Goliath the Claymation dog from Art Clokey's "Davey and Goliath?" I mean, you already have Gumby here. So, why not his fellow stop-motion figures?

Having Manny on the DuckTales reboot turn out to be Goliath -- Keith David voiced his last lines -- was a great nod to a show that desperately needs to come back.
They've only touched on Macbeth and A Midsummer Night's Dream, after all -- can you imagine what would happen if Propsero was uncovered in Manhattan?
