Blade and Green Arrow & Black Canary

Thank you to Blog visitor Wolfhammer for suggesting a Blade/Green Arrow pairing.  It's a pretty natural one that I am surprised I had not done before.  I figured that I would let Black Canary join in on the fesivities.  As much as I like both her and GA as solo characters, I think they work the best when they are together.  It always bothered me that writers seemed determined to break them apart in the comics.

Interesting premise. Here's one for you.

Dracula has risen only to find his coffin was moved to Japan. And to the area that Godzilla is attacking. Will Dracula decide to enjoy room service being provided and get a bite of the Big G meal? Will Godzilla be too much to the pain in the neck visitor ? Will his radioactivity make any difference?

@3H: He could always vampirize King Kong. But, while we're on the subject of Japan, how about Mickey Mouse meets the TMNT? The premise could be that their jonin's mind has undergone a body swap with the former! Ross could even entitle it..."Splinter In Mickey's Eye."

@Ross: most of those writers probably think monogamy is a wood used in furniture-making. As for today's cover? This could probably be a sequel to STF #3223. Perhaps as a result of Tony Stark taking the bite for BC!

@Cary: it could also be a sequel to STF #3217. With Inza having been vampirized in a bid to vampirize Tony Stark in the first place! Seeing as he's collaterally descended from the Set-worshipers of Starkesboro, Massachusetts.

Personally, as a writer I'd want to keep these two together as a couple but not necessarily as a team. I might even get them married. Sure, many writers and editors think that they need to have strife in order to make interesting stories (and some are even like Cary describes), but it could be a great example to set for young readers when a couple decides to work through their moments of strife together. The Kents, the Richardses, and the Parkers are four comics couples who should never be split up (and I'm sure there are others), and as enduring as Ollie and Dinah have been, why not them? (I would've gone forward with Bruce and Selina too.)

On the other side of this team-up, I'm surprised that Blade has yet to run into the vampirized Batman. I did see the old B&B cover with Blade guest-starring, but there's nothing with the Dark Knight in full vampire form.

(A tongue-in-cheek photo cover with Wesley Snipes' Blade against "Blackula" would be a fun moment as well!)

Wow! Awesome image. This would be an epic story. You've just made my day again as I am about to head out to work on this cold morning. Now maybe that long awaited G.I. ROBOT / MACHINE MAN team-up is coming soon? Thanks again Ross. You're the man!

Every one take care!

Typo alert: I left "four comics couples" above after I'd deleted the Nelsons (Kent and Inza) from the list. The Halls (Carter and Sheyera) should be added, though.

Love the cover. Always liked the look of back of Blade but that sword should be mahogany which would go well with introduction. Blade and Katana should be a natural pairing with neither objecting to other using point of blade.

I agree with me. After all, Katana would be out of her element fighting vampires, alone. Seeing as how Soultaker would be useless against undead creatures without souls!

And, no, I don't count the time her fellow Outsider was needlessly (ahem!) revamped. That was pre-Crisis, after all.

More specifically? Pre-Zero Hour Crisis!
