Aquaman and Iron Man in: "WWIII Begins at Sea!"

The fate of characters like Iron Man and Captain America is very much up in the air with the upcoming Avengers: Endgame and the actors contracts expiring.  Even if Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans wish to leave their roles, I hope the characters they play are not killed off.  I'd prefer them to be kept on the table in some way even if it means eventually re-casting.  I mean, how do we get a Secret Wars movie down the road without Iron Man and Cap?

Aquaman first met Iron Man way back in STF #471...

Personally I think Cap will die in Endgame, and Iron Man will simply retire from active duty. Chris may show up in flashbacks, recordings (as with Spider-Man: Homecoming), and similar small cameos, and RDJ would be available for cameos and supporting roles. (That said, details in the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer suggest that Tony is the one who dies.)

We also know that Gwenyth Paltrow's contract as Pepper Potts is done, but she's said she'll be available for small bits in the future, so between that and her signature on the check in SM:FFH means Pepper survives for cameos.

Personally, I'll be most interested to see what develops with Gamora, Clint Barton, and Bucky Barnes.

"Bloodlust," huh?

Is it Psycho-Man working through Black Manta? A clone of the Hatemonger crafted by the Jackal on behalf of Lex Luthor?* Or could the self-styled "Ocean Master" have found the long-lost Serpent Crown of Lemuria off the coast of...Starkesboro, Massacnusetts?

*Probably the only other super-villain, in mainstream comics (this side of Dr. Doom), who can match Tony Stark's high-tech genius!

The Quantum Realm can lead to time travel shenanigans, which opens recasting for all the roles. Now that the FF is okay for MCU films, we can have Kang the Conqueror, and Dr Doom with his time machine!

Wouldn't it be a hoot if Chris Evans as Cap got to meet his hotshot counterpart from the first two FF movies? LOL!

James Rhodes/War Machine could step up and take Iron Man's place in the MCU like he did in the comics for a while and a new actor could be cast as John Walker/U.S. Agent in a Captain America solo movie.

That's my two cents.

@Div: I nominate Matt Salinger as Johnny Walker. ;-)
