As a comics and crossover fan, I was happy to see the animated connections made between Static and the DC Universe. Static Shock had an episode that guest starred Batman and Robin, and a later one with the Justice League. Later, an older version of Static showed up in the Batman Beyond timeline in an episode of Justice League Unlimited. All of this made Static a part of the rich tapestry of the various DC animated shows. Even though Young Justice started a DC continuity of its own, Static showed up there as well, pretty cool!

Wasn't there a Brave and the Bold issue that kind of hinted that Static was Black Lightning's sidekick? There were a few issues that I missed where the Milestone heroes teamed up in the DCU...
I loved the ep with Harley and Ivy in Dakota. At one point Static asks where Robin is and Batman says 'With the Titans'. It's been established that the TT cartoon wasn't part of the DCAU but at the time it was still a fun nod.
And now for my obligatory random team-up request - Space Ghost & Deadman
Static was briefly in one version of the comic-book Titans, too, shortly before Flashpoint, and I think that his post-Flashpoint series also canonically placed him in the mainstream DC universe...
My favorite episode of the Static cartoon series was the one where his dad gets kidnapped on behalf of some computer-hacking mad scientist. It was awesome watching the usually happy-go-lucky hero go Batmannish, on all his enemies, during the big track-down!
Part Two should include Shocker!
Airdave, in Dwayne Mcduffie's JLA/Milestone crossover, a character asks Black Lightning if he's Static's father. BL responded something like, "no, why does engine ask me that?"
@Anon: Who's Engine?
Cary, I'm guessing that "engine" is actually meant to be "everyone", and this is a case of "Damn You Autocorrect".
Ah! Got it. Thanks. :-)
Electro had such a great costume in addition to his powers. It's a shame Marvel let the Sandman reform his criminal ways instead of him.
I'd buy a heroic Electro ongoing series in a heartbeat.
My favorite story of Elecro involved him fighting Spider-man & Daredevil with Blizzard (who could also go straight & be his "sidekick" like Power Man & Iron Fist).
Blizzard also had a great costume, attitude & power set. Talk about great unused characters.
@CC: Gotta disagree. With that classic green-and-gold look, Max Dillon was _born_ to play Reddy Kilowatt's permanently evil twin!
A reformed Flint Marko, however, could be satisfactorily explained away in the Rossverse, as hosting the heroic spirit of Dr. Garrett Sanford (Jack Kirby's Sandman)!
