Alf and Mork

I only caught a couple of episodes of Alf back when it was on the air.  It seemed to me like standard 80's TV comedy fare, but with a puppet.  As a cat lover, I had some issues with the title character's diet.  I thought that Mork and Mindy did a better job of showing life on Earth through the eyes of an alien visitor.  Of course they had the amazing talents of Robin Williams, Jonathan Winters and Robert Donner to rely upon!

How about ALF and Roger (American Dad); they're a bit (at least) similar.

Well, as ALF's people were apparently of canine descent, the feline diet sort of makes sense. With regard to his complaint, to Mork, on the cover? That's even more plausible!*

*Traveling by egg-shaped spacecraft is not all it's cracked up to be.

Did you ever notice that when Robin Williams, who played the alien Mork on TV, played Popeye on the big screen that Popeye's father Poopdeck Pappy was played by Ray Walston who ALSO played an alien on TV in the series My Favorite Martian?

Coincidence?

No more Tabby paw pie before bedtime, Arr Arr Arr. To paraphrase Electric Light Orchestra: I've got a Chicken to the moon, chicken to the moon. Do Uncle Martin (Century 21 (England)) meets: Mork, Beldar & Primat (Marvel(The Coneheads)) and Jemm (DC(Red Skinned Alien)).

"Hamilton you weirdo!" - My favorite line from The MORK & MINDY Saturday Morning Cartoon (American Broadcasting Network). And always remember: Buy this Magazine or we'll shoot this Fill IN THE BLANK, because it's traditional if not obligatory.

Then I woke up and asked: Am I the Orkan dreaming he was an exterminator or am I the Man from ORKIN?

If Kara Zor-El had crash-landed on Ork, after the destruction of Krypton, and been raised by Mork's family, would that have made her a foster Ork-kid?

@Brother Kellymatthew Barnes: That Orkan/ Orkin joke was cool!

Black Or-kid?
Thank you Anonymous. Apparently you do forgive, however you don't Ork-get.

Too Bad the Powers Of Matthew Star was never a Comicbook (or Comic-Book if you are a Marvelite(Oh that's an old one almost as old as FOOM, but not as old as the Merry Marvel Marching Society.)). WOW that was a novella! "Kellymatthew shut it." -Kellymatthew to himself.

While I love superheroes and villains, it's fun to see characters of other kinds show up as well. ^_^

Robert Donner's portrayal of Exidor is one of the most memorable from 70s TV comedy. Unlike the other two you mention, though, he was actually human, not alien -- at least, physiologically.

"But Exidor, that path goes right through the middle of a lake!"
"You go around the lake; Exidor goes across the lake."

Ah yes... such an interesting character Ork.

(Hm... what if Mork were to encounter the Men in Black?)

Bob Greenwade maybe Mork doesn't remember meeting them? *Flash*

TJW Thank you for not Popeye hatting. :)

If Kara Zor-El Landed on Melmac would Melmac have been saved? Do MelMacdroids dream of electric Tabby Paw Pie?

@Brother Barnes: all good ones! :-)

@Kid Charlemagne: Characters of other kinds are just more secular!

P.S.---@Brotherbarnes: Insomniac Melmacians count electric cats.

A pretty cool crossover if I ever saw one. Having seen "ALF" in the old days, I'm eager to see if that potential reboot of the show will have a lasting impact on the world.
