Tintin and The Watcher

One of the greatest things about Herge's Tintin stories was the amazing design sense he put into them.  Not only were the tales densely illustrated, he was constantly coming up with interesting characters, outfits, vehicles and locations.  He really got to shine with Tintin's outer space adventures, I loved the look of the spacesuits and rocket.

This is only Part One of this epic adventure - make sure to come back for Part Two tomorrow!

The one-and-only time I ever saw one of Tintin's animated adventures, on Saturday morning TV, was back in the Seventies. And, it was so bizarre, I loved it!*

*It was the one where a comet narrowly misses Earth. Only to leave a mutagenic piece of meteor in Greenland.

I don't suppose that part two could involve Astro Boy in any way could it?

This has to be one of the best ideas so far. It would be fun to tie it in somehow with the unseen aliens from FLIGHT 714.

I don't know why, but this just made me think of Obelix throwing one of his menhirs too far vertically and having it end up becoming Shazam's Rock of Eternity.

I approve of this crossover.

I grew up reading Tin Tin in the original French (as well as Asterix, Blueberry, Spirou, Lucky Luke, The Smurfs-before they became popular in the USA). When my Haitian cousins who lived in France, Belgium and Montreal would visit NYC in the late 1970s/early 1980s, they would always bring along their French language comic books to trade with my American comics. Their comics were HARDCOVER so I always felt I got the better deal! It would be years before I discovered the English language version of these very same comics. But I knew about The Smurfs before the rest of you did!!
