Silver Surfer and Captain Comet
George Perez is rightly hailed as one of comics' greatest artists, and for good reason. His ability to make his characters unique in body and facial type and clearly depict action featuring a large cast is amazing. Even beyond that, his attention to detail, particularly in his landscapes and backgrounds in quite impressive. With so many fancy computer programs and coloring techniques available to comics, there is more opportunity for an artist to skimp on backgrounds these days, making me appreciate the effort that Perez has put in over the years all the more.

I totally agree. That is why George Perez is my all-time favorite comic book artist.
Is that supposed to be the DCU equivalent of the Ultimate Annihilator Capt. Comet is carrying?*
*There's supposed to be some unpublished back story about Adam Blake coming across an alien race that had invented it...and almost immediately regretted doing so! Which is why, when he visited their planet during his post-Golden Age exploration of the galaxy, they gave it to him for sake-keeping.
;)
I believe that George Perez is the reason there is the phrase "eye-candy". In comic books, that is...
Captain Comet! I'd love to see a librarian cover: Adam Blake, Barbara Gordon, Conan the Librarian, anyone else?
@ my namesake:
How about Noah Wylie's character from TNT?
Lucien?
Lucien?
@Raphael:
Nope! Flynn Carson (in all three "Librarian" TV-movies and the new spin-off series).
