Rorschach Vs. The Punisher

I think that this would be a very interesting match up.  Both have an unwavering mission to go after criminals and are looked upon warily even by the more straight laced heroes that they may fight alongside.  They most likely would see one another simply as villains to be taken out, and it would be just a matter of time before they clashed.

I think any team-up with Rorshach would be awesome. I would almost like to see a Rorshach title...I would definitely buy a Nite Owl book. I really enjoyed the early issues of DC's Blue Beetle!

I think it would be better if the Punisher was going after Rorschach for the innocents the later's killed. Rorschach burned down a building few of innocents. The Punisher never killed anyone innocent. (Yes, I know if some used machine guns and bombs in an urban area the way the Punisher does he would invariably kill a bystander in real life, but we're not talking about real life here.)

The point is kind of moot, seeing as how Rorschach was obliterated, by Dr. Manhattan, with literally just a thought! The only loophole for such a crossover, in the real world, would be if the Doc merely teleported Rorschach to a different universe. In this case, that of Earth-616 (or,-STF, as the case may be).

"The only loophole for such a crossover, in the real world,"

Um.... None of this stuff takes place in the "real world". Isn't that kind of the point?

I'm talking real-world publication of an inter-company crossover featuring these characters. And I was just saving myself some typist's cramp in the belief understanding of that context was a no-brainer.

Yes, Cary Comic, I understood that you were talking about a "real-world publication of an inter-company crossover". MY point was that such events are (relatively) few and far between and tend to mostly feature major characters. That, I believe, is the reason why Ross started and continues this site. If we are going to start trying to figure out exactly how (for example) Richie Rich and Batman's continuities can be merged, in my opinion we lose the magic. That's all I'm saying. I'm sorry if my comment came off as overly snarky.

No biggie. :-)

But, hey! Ross already "revealed" to us that Mxy and Impy are at the heart of all the crossovers, here. So, if DC were to use such a concept as inspiration, they could insert a line of dialogue wherein Doc Manhattan says something like: "I perceive a parallel-universe (accessible via what others might call 'the Fifth Dimension'), the resident Earth of which seems to have dire need of his capabilities. Therefore, I will send Rorschach there. Making the rest of our world believe he is dead."

Happy New Year, Jack! :-)

Looks great!. But it should be the other way around. Punisher would go after him first and since he is a better combatant by far, he should be the one with the upper hand
