Green Lantern and The Black Panther
Looking at the latest trailer and posters for Avengers: The Age of Ultron, I can't help but have the usual nitpick: Captain America and Iron Man seem to spend a lot of time with their helmets ripped off (Thor didn't even bring his). As much as I am looking forward to The Black Panther's eventual inclusion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I'm already wondering how much of him we will see in full costume, considering the actor-concealing face-mask. At least John Stewart wont have that worry if he is included in Justice League. Just make his eyes glow when he uses his ring and I'll be happy!

Did you see the latest rumor that Warner Bros. is considering Chris Pine for Green Lantern? I hope it turns out to be bogus...
Why? I want Hal to get another shot in the movies and Pine seems like a good choice to me.
I don't understand what's wrong with an actor wearing a mask. In ancient Greece the actors wore masks of the characters they would portray so the audience would know who they were. Hugo Weaving never took off the Guy Fawkes mask in V for Vendetta. It can be done, they just need to find an actor whose desire to faithfully recreate a beloved character outweighs their own ego.
I get the feeling it's less about the actors and more the Studios that think, "We paid 20 Million for Chris Evans face, we're not hiding it!"
I would like to see an actual Hulk verses Solomon Grundy. I know they appeared together against Hawkeye and Green Arrow, but I would like to see them "one-on-one". Of course they may have and it be one I missed.
Maybe all that helmet-loss will finally induce Marvel Films to use the original mask-and-cowl design. Including the sewn-on, three-dimensional wings that always seemed as indestructible as Cap's shield!*
*Well, let's face it. I can't honestly remember him ever losing one or both of them in battle. Can you?
John Stewart and Black Panther are also my fave.
The biggest cinematic crime regarding masks has to be the 90's "Judge Dredd" with Sylvester Stallone. Here's a character who hasn't taken off his helmet since his creation in the mid-70's and the morons calling the shots really thought that the rest of us weren't going to know that we were watching Stallone EVERY TIME HE OPENED HIS MOUTH? Why not just use an unknown and save their money? I mean, the biggest names in the credits for the original "Star Wars" were Peter Cushing and Alec Guiness and most Americans didn't know who Alec Guiness was. Now, how many kids do you suppose want to be Darth Vader for Halloween, as opposed to, say, how many want to be Grand Moff Tarkin?
Because Tarkin was a classic bully. While Vader was a classic bad-ass. That's why.
Pine as Hall Jordan would make 2 Star Trek captains who also play superheroes!
*Hal
Most kids, because of the Justice League and Batman Beyond cartoons, know John Stewart as Green Lantern. The Green Lantern cartoon was the first time my children had seen Hal Jordan and they thought he was a new GL replacing Stewart.
