The Lizard and Killer Croc in "Rise of the Reptiles!"

I featured these two together before in a more modern cover, and I wanted to try for a more Bronze Age vibe this time out.  Rumors are that The Lizard will make a return to the Amazing Spider-Man franchise as a member of the Sinister Six.  Here's hoping they go for the creature in human clothing look rather than the giant gila monster that we saw in his first appearance.  The Ditko design is just so much cooler.  Killer Croc may not be able to anchor a Batman film as the primary villain, but I think that he could still be successfully translated to screen as a partner/pawn of someone like Hugo Strange.

That's just awesome!
It made sense to me that Connors wouldn't be wearing much as The Lizard, but still it would kinda be cool to see a Hulk-like look - with pants...

Killer Croc is a wrestler, right? He'd probably be great as Hugo Strange's bodyguard or hired muscle.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I too was disappointed with Killer Croc's look in the recent film. He was my favorite Spidey villain when I read the comics in the 60s, mostly because there's just something cool about a reptile in a lab coat. (Also the idea of a villain who became a good guy in his regular ID -- in this case, when the serum wore off -- had a special appeal.)

As for Croc, he held his own as a villain in a couple of animated Batman episodes, but the one where he worked best had him teaming up with Baby Doll. Though not nearly as good a villain team-up as the classic one with Poison Ivy and Harlequin, the KC/BD pairing was one of the series' more interesting outings for the contrast between the two. Along those lines, I'd kind of like to see a film Killer Croc working as hired muscle for the Ventriloquist -- though your call of Hugo Strange definitely makes more sense logically.

@BG: I think you meant to say "...disappointed with the Lizard's look in the recent film." Killer Croc is a Bat-foe!
